Who We Are? – A Canadian Story of Art, Love & Legacy

It Started With a Brush and a Promise

WALL ART by Sonia isn’t just a studio—it’s a story that began with a brush, a dream, and a promise between two people who believed in second chances.

We’re Sonia and Ian.
One of us creates the art.
The other builds the space for it to live, breathe, and be discovered.

Together, we’ve created something more than a brand—it’s a home for art that feels as personal as it is powerful.

Made in Canada. And Made to Last.

We’re proudly Canadian—Sonia paints from a quiet waterfront village, and our Canadian production partner brings her work to life with expert hand craftsmanship, trusted by many of the world’s ranked #1 art brands.

Our art is:

- Crafted by hand in small batches
- Digitally captured using the world’s finest art camera— Hasselblad
- Printed and hand finished in Canada
- Packaged with a keepsake story card and handwritten thank-you note

We don’t outsource our heart.
We keep it here—close to home.

FYI: We personally review every piece before it ships. Because this isn’t a warehouse—it’s a studio that signs every work with love, legacy and attaches our name to it.

Built Late in Life, On Purpose

We didn’t start this in our 30s with a business plan, but in our 70's with our hearts and souls.
We started it later—when life had already tested us, stretched us, and reminded us what really matters.

That’s why everything we do now is built on:

- Presence over pressure
- Connection over conversion
- Stories over sales

We created WALL ART by Sonia to give beauty a home—and to prove that it’s never too late to do something that matters.

Designer’s Pro Tip: Legacy isn’t something you inherit. It’s something you create—one brushstroke, one decision, one story at a time.

Final Thought

This brand is our second act.
But more than that—it’s our love letter to what art can do.
Not just for walls…
But for lives.
